A POS (point of sale) is the system you use to take orders and charge. In a restaurant, beyond charging, it must coordinate tables, send orders to the kitchen, manage tipping and talk to inventory. Comandero does all of that from the browser.
Can I use the POS on a tablet?
Yes. Comandero runs on any tablet with a modern browser (iPad, Android, Windows). We recommend it for tables because it’s faster for the waiter than a fixed counter.
Does it work if I only charge at the counter (no tables)?
Yes, completely. You can run Comandero as a counter POS: take the order, send to kitchen, charge. You don’t have to use the table module.
Does it print thermal tickets?
Yes. Comandero prints orders in kitchen, bar or cashier through a lightweight local agent that connects your thermal printers. Compatible with most ESC/POS printers on the market.
What about electronic invoicing?
Electronic invoicing varies by country. In Chile we integrate with Bsale, Haulmer and FacturaMovil. In other markets, Comandero logs every sale and exports the data for your invoicing provider.
